BRB, I’m Busy (“BRB, I’m Busy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates brbimbusy.com, including our online store, interactive activities, submission forms, publications, products, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).
BRB, I’m Busy is a creative brand and publication intended for tweens and families. We value creativity, self-expression, and privacy. We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary to operate our Services, provide our products, and manage participation opportunities.
Our website and store are powered by Shopify. We also use third-party services, including Tally, to provide certain forms and interactive features.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, how long we retain it, and what choices visitors, customers, parents, and guardians have.
1. Personal Information We Collect
Depending on how you interact with our Services, we may collect or process the following information:
Contact information: Names, email addresses, phone numbers, billing addresses, and shipping addresses provided in connection with purchases, inquiries, or other transactions.
Payment and transaction information: Products purchased, order history, payment confirmations, transaction details, and related information. Payment details are processed through Shopify and applicable payment providers.
Account information: Account credentials, preferences, and settings where customer accounts are available.
Communications: Information provided when contacting us with questions, feedback, customer-service requests, or other inquiries.
Technical and usage information: Information such as IP addresses, browser types, device information, website interactions, cookies, and other technical identifiers collected through Shopify or other service providers.
Interactive activity responses: Choices, preferences, and written responses voluntarily submitted through Busy Board activities.
Parent/guardian submission information: Parent or guardian names, email addresses, electronic signatures, consent records, and other information provided in connection with publication or participation opportunities.
Child-related materials submitted by parents or guardians: A child’s first name, age, interests, written responses, artwork, creative projects, collections, photographs, or other authorized submission materials.
Marketing preferences: Email addresses and communication preferences provided by people who choose to subscribe to marketing communications.
We do not require visitors to provide their names, email addresses, schools, or home addresses to participate in our ordinary Busy Board polls and preference activities.
2. Busy Board and Interactive Activities
Our website includes a feature called the Busy Board, where visitors can participate in creative activities such as This or That, Poll of the Week, and Current Faves.
These activities are intended to encourage creativity, self-expression, and participation in the BRB, I’m Busy community.
This or That and Poll of the Week
These activities ask visitors to select answers about preferences, interests, hobbies, and everyday experiences.
We do not request names, email addresses, phone numbers, home addresses, school information, or other identifying details as part of these activities.
We may review responses individually or in aggregate to understand audience interests, develop future content, and create editorial features.
Current Faves
Current Faves allows visitors to share short written answers about favorite songs, shows, activities, hobbies, and other interests.
Because these responses include open-text fields, we ask participants not to provide private or identifying information.
Participants should not include full names, school names, home addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, social-media usernames, or other personal contact details.
We may review responses to identify popular interests, inspire future editorial content, or create general summaries of audience preferences.
We do not require a participant’s name or contact information to complete these activities.
Form Processing
Busy Board responses are collected and processed using Tally, our third-party form provider.
Tally and other service providers may process technical information necessary to deliver forms, maintain security, prevent abuse, and support their services, subject to their applicable privacy practices.
Although our Busy Board activities are designed not to request identifying information, we do not represent that participation is completely anonymous at the technical level.
We may remove or delete responses that contain unnecessary personal information or inappropriate content.
Submitting a Busy Board response does not subscribe a participant to promotional emails.
Busy Board participation does not grant permission for us to publish a child’s identifying information, photograph, or personal story. Publication opportunities involving child-related materials are handled separately through parent/guardian submission procedures.
3. Children’s Privacy
BRB, I’m Busy recognizes that some visitors to our website may be under the age of 13.
We design our general interactive activities to minimize the personal information requested from participants.
Children may participate in ordinary preference-based activities without being asked to provide their names or contact information.
Children should not submit identifying or sensitive personal information through open-text activities, contact forms, or other website features.
We ask parents and guardians to supervise children’s use of the internet and encourage them to review our privacy practices.
We do not intentionally request personal contact information directly from children through our Busy Board activities.
We do not knowingly sell children’s personal information.
We do not authorize the use of children’s submitted publication materials for unrelated third-party advertising.
If we discover that a child has provided unnecessary personal information through a form, we may remove that information or delete the submission.
Parents or legal guardians may contact us at hello@brbimbusy.com to ask questions about information relating to their child or to request access, correction, or deletion, subject to applicable law.
We recognize that information collected automatically by website technology may also be subject to children’s privacy requirements. We seek to manage these practices in accordance with applicable law.
4. Parent/Guardian Submissions

We use parent/guardian submission information to review materials, communicate about potential publication, verify permissions, prepare authorized content, maintain consent records, and respond to questions or requests.
Submitting a feature form does not automatically subscribe a parent or guardian to marketing emails.
